XJ Monster - Spin-On Oil Filter Adapter

The Original Yamaha filter works well. The proof is in the number of high mileage XJs still running on their original engine. It is true that a good engine design can only help but a well designed lubrication system can make the difference in engine life.

The original filters are a little cumbersome to change and require additional o-rings and such. Enter the Spin On filter.

This adapter is designed to work with either stock XJ motors or the Turbo/XJ900 motors with the oil cooler already installed. The second version will support attachment of an oil cooler using 10mm banjo bolts and is in prototyping now.

This adapter is designed with these points in mind;

No restriction from the adapter
Use a common filter size with M20 X 1.5 threads (Purolator Pure-One PL14612 recommended)
Revised hole pattern allows use of a Yamaha Seca II filter
